Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
